The true accessibility enhanced features are there in kitket. Sansung
will never upgrade this device, so do it yourself. I heard its
possible after installing custom rom.

[Mobile.AI] Your views on Nexus 5

2014-05-21 Thread Shyam M. Sayanekar
Dear members, few days back most of the members opted for samsung, now they
seem to be prefering Moto E, K, or x. But one of my sighted friends has
suggested me to go for Nexus 5. Has anybody used this phone? if yes, can you
please share your experiences and views? In what sense Moto phones are better
than Samsung? Thanking you, yours,

2014-05-21 Thread sagar
Hi there thanks for your email
I'm using Nexus five myself it's a very good device you can buy this device
however you do have another choices il suggest you not to go for Samsung
cause you get the updates very late. they have Google play additions as well
but however Nexus devices are better or Moto G or Moto E.
These devices I mentioned will get all the updates as it arrives. Nexus is
first priority.

I hope that helps.

Re: [Mobile.AI] How to transfer contacts from a symbian phone to an Android phone?

2014-05-21 Thread Sunil Sangtani.
hi, do the following:
1) creat a backup of the contacts into your Symbian phone by going to
contacts, there mark/unmark, then select all, and copy to memory card.
2) copy the created backup from memorycardothercontact folder,
3) put the folder or just all the vcf files in to your new phone's
memory, (eather phone memory or memory card) both should work.
4) go to the phone or people app, there choos more options button,
and choos import/export. hit the import button, and on the next
screen, select all vcf files.
it'll scan the memory and will save all your contacts automatically.

Re: [Mobile.AI] How to reduce or mute ringtone volume to know who is calling?

2014-05-21 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafel
Note: if u are using nexus 5 or moto g, while your phone is ringing,
pressing volume up butten will set the music volume upto 100%, while
pressing volume down butten will make music volume including talkback
volume to 0%. This is a bug in Motorola and nexus devices. What I do
in my moto g, I press power butten to silant the ringer and touch the
left top of the screen to listen who is calling. If u touch in upper
middle, it will give few options, like send message etc.

On 5/22/14, Aruni Sharma aruni...@gmail.com wrote:
 Hello,
 1. pressing the volume button in either direction should mute the ring.
You must then explore the screen either at the top or about a quarter
from the bottom of the screen.
 2. you can join eyes-free list

 now the specific queries:
 1. as the subject line makes it clear, I would like to know how to
reduce or mute the volume of ringtone and ask Talkback who is on the

 2. is there a specific list to discuss android accessibility? if yes,
