Re: [Mobile.AI] requesting performence review of Moto G Gen 3rd.

2015-09-17 Thread Rohith P
Hi,
The issue regarding ringtone going silent without any reason, is there
in moto e second gen 4g too. The ringtones wouldn't play even from
settings\sounds and notifications\phone ringtone. Once the handset is
restarted, it starts ringing. However, this issue is only for ringtone
and not for notification tone.

 Hi,
I have been using the Moto G 2015 for the last month and a half.
Overall, I am happy with the device. The general level of performance
is pretty good and the phone that comes with the latest Android has
already got a couple of system updates.
However, there are a couple of issues I have noticed. There is a
problem with the notification panel when working with TalkBack.
Sometimes when there are many notifications, when you double tap a
notification, it goes to the home screen and does not open the
relevant app. Some times it would open the app associated with the
above or below notification. I am given to understand this is a
TalkBack problem as the issue does not happen when TalkBack is turned
off. But I believe this issue of TalkBack is not there on every
device, it is more device specific, or more stok Android specific.
The other issue I noticed is that sometimes, the ringer goes silent
without you activating anything. The volumes would be shown as 100 %
but the phone won't ring when there is a call. You will have to
restart the phone to get the ringer back. I haven't really explored
the issue at length to provide additional details as to whether it is
happening when TalkBack is on or whether it is a device specific
 problem as such.

Hi, responded to a wrong mail so posting it again in case one misses that

In Google settings, you should find Google Now, and TB should say
 On/Off
switch. Turn it on if it is the other way. Now, there only you would find
Voice. Activate it and set the language (bydefault it uses system
default). The next option is Speech Output and it must also be on.
Scrolling further will take you to OK Google Detection, Activate it and
see if it is turned on and if not please do turn it on.

If this still doesn't work, then you are one of those unlucky people like
 me
for those Google has still not fixed this bug with latest TB and Google
 app,
the OK google doesn't work. If you are not so kean about updates, then
uninstall all updates to Google app. Please note that you need
 uninstall
updates to Google app only and not to any other app such as Google+,
Google Play Music etc. and it should work fine as it does on my MotoG2.
 Once
you install the update to Google app, the OK Google detection doesn't
work. However, Android1 phones are doing good with updates installed to
Google app and with latest TB.

Dear Pranav,
Thanks for the help. Still, I am not able to use the screen during the
call. Will explain my difficulty. created the string 01161606161p1p2.
When I activate the call button, the IVR asks to dial 1 for english or
2 for hindi. I am not able to activate dial 1 which is suppose to
appear on the screen.
Thanks,
Rohith

Dear Surya prakash,
There are several auto speaker apps on play store. Which one of them

 Hi,
to get rid of the same problem, I am using Auto speaker App. as soon
as we move the phone away from the ear, this app activates the loud

difficult to locate the dial pad button which is a little above the
 back button.
