 Hi,

There has been significant discussion on buying a new phone here in the past
and you might well like to search through the list archives before making a
final call. However, Any Android phone with Stock Android should fulfill
your needs. There are number of apps for doing various things such reading
EBooks, browsing mails etc. and some of the native apps for some tasks are
pretty much accessible for VI. Still, before making a purchase, there are a
few things which you might to put in to consideration:
 - The hardware configuration – should be good enough to perform the most
routinely tasks. Within the budget specified, any phone with 1.2 GHZ or
1.3/1.4GHZ processor coupled with minimum 1-2GB of ram and 8-16GB of
 internal storage should be available.
 - Make sure that you buy a phone which is upgradable to next OS – currently,
the latest operating system on which phones are shipped is Android KitKat
4.4.4 but Google has already rolled out its latest OS Android Lollipop 5.
Many phone manufacturers have launched their phones with the promiss to
provide updates to the next OS (Android5). Currently, MotoG (firstSecond
generation), MotoX, and few have started receiving updates and Android One
phones which were recently launched by three different manufacturers –
Micromax, Carbon and Spice under Google's AndroidOne program are next in
 line to get the upgrade.

Do write back if you have specific doubts.

 With best regards,
 Satguru

Android Development Team Contact - It is highly unlikely that you or
anyone else on this list will be in direct contact with the developers
of Talkback, or from a broader perspective, the Google Accessibility
Team. They have been traditionally unresponsive, and we haven't seen
significant updates in new Talkback releases. However, that doesn't
mean that Talkback isn't a good screen reader, I as an Android or
rather a touch screen or rather a mobile phone first timer, started
with Android, a Motorolla G second generation to be exact, and am
 using it with ease.
 Hope that answers your questions

 Hi Kapil Ji,

 1. Android One Phones clame to provide you the Pure Android
 Experience
with minimum customization's which result in better accessibility
 also.
 2. Since Google is controlling the Hardware specifications also for
 these

phones, you can expect better performance on such phones compared to
other phones available with similar price tag.
 3. Even if you get some better Android phone in terms of Hardware
specifications on a similar price, receiving updates is by no means
guaranteed on those phones whereas, Android One Phones are sure to
 get
the updates, at least the next Android Version which is currently
 roomered to be Android L.
 4. By late December, Google is supposed to roll out more Android One
Phone with more partners joining in and we can expect phones with
 better

hardware and a slight rise in the prise too but the cost will be less
compared to other Android phones and hardware will be more better.

Conclusion: If you are planning to get an Android phone within the
 price

tag of 6 to 8K, then give first thoughts to Android One phones before
 any

other phone even if that phone runns the latest OS and has better
hardware spects. Further, if buying phone at this stage is not a
compultion, then wait till December and you might expect some really
 cool

 stuff.

 With best regards,
 Satguru
