Hello listers.
I am sending this mail to both the lists. My original question was put
on AI as it mainly dealt with the web interface. But the follow-up
information I wanted to communicate involves the mobile platforms as
well.
Coming to the issue, the ScreenReader users have been facing serious
accessibility issues with websites like cleartrip.com, makemytrip.com,
yatra.com, and goibibo.com when trying to book air tickets. Though
many of us contacted the site admins on this issue, nothing has come
off it. But I have a bit of a good news to share here.
After repeated struggles with the web interface of cleartrip, I tried
the cleartrip Android App on my XoloQ700 running Android 4.2. I can
say with the recent updates, the accessibility experience is a lot
better than that of the web interface. There are a couple of unlabeled
buttons, yet again on the month field. But it can be negotiated. The
button to the right of the month field would take you to the next
month, the button to the left takes to the previous month. Other than
that, everything else is accessible. The field
where you enter your credit/debit card details could have been
designed in a simpler way, but that nevertheless is accessible.
Perhaps someone could look at their app for IOS and get back to the
list.
Best,
