Upgrading modperl

2001-08-28 Thread Castellon, Francisco

Hi folks:

What i am running : Win98, Apache 1.3.20, mod_perl 1.25, Apache::ASP 2.17,
ActivePerl 5.0.1 (build 626).

I want to upgrade to mod_perl 1.26 from version 1.25. What do i have to do?
But also i have installed a few other apache packages that rely on mod_perl
to work, like apache::asp. Would upgrading version ruin my current
configuration forcing me to reinstall every other apache package that relies
on mod_perl? or is it just a simple matter of running the ppm installer for
mod perl?

Thanx !!

Francisco

RE: Where do i install ActivePerl to?

Hi Randy:

Yes i tried installing the perl_mod from that link but that was the error i
got when i went to that link. I havent really tried any other modules.
What my main concern was that i thought that the AvtivePerl MSI download had
to be installed to the directory where i installed apache. is this right?

Where do i install ActivePerl to?

2001-06-22 Thread Castellon, Francisco

Hi people:

I am trying to install Active Perl in order to run mod_perl in apache. I am
running on Windows98SE and the latest version of apache.
So is there a particular directory that i have to install Active perl to? or
is anywhere just fine?
The other thing as well is that i have been hearing alot about installing
mod_perl through ActivePerl by downloading a PPD file of some sort, how do i
do this?

Pleae excuse my ignorance i just got into doing this stuff and i am pretty
at it, thanx
