And finally, the last of the stuff from the cave.

Same bug fix for all three of these.
Output Cleanup on error conditions.

snmpnetdisk.monitor

2010-06-21 Thread Nathan Gibbs
Just posted a snmpnetdisk monitor.

http://www.cmpublishers.com/oss/

What this does.
It basically works like the snmpdiskspace.monitor, except it is only
interested in NetwrokDisks defined by the HOST MIB. type 10

I also added an -fs option to define a filesystem that had better be mounted
on the remote host.

The inspiration.
Earlier this month, we rebooted our master NS. For some reason it failed to
mount the remote fs that held the zone data. Initially when the dns.monitor
redlined, I figured it was a temporary problem caused by the reboot, that
would clear the next time the monitor ran.
A week later, I get email form our slave NS alerting me to the problem.
Somewhere in the process of finding our what broke and fixing it, the thought
occurred that their wasn't a monitor to check if a host has mounted a remote
file system. Now there is.:-)

In summary Its a stripped down snmpdiskspace.monitor with an extra option.
( in great need of code polishing )
I need to do some more thinking about how I want this to work, but figured I'd
throw what I had out there for evaluation.

Enjoy.
