Re: [Mono-dev] Updated CentOS/RHEL packages?
Hi Gentlemen, I share your need for RHEL packages and look forward to trying out your repo. If I can help, I will. Many thanks, Vlad ___ Mono-devel-list mailing list Mono-devel-list@lists.ximian.com http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-devel-list
Re: [Mono-dev] Updated CentOS/RHEL packages?
Pablo, thanks for the offer. I will check your rpm's out. Do you have a recipe for how you built them as well? I'd really like to pick up the skill since with every new version of mono, I seem to be back in the same situation of having to find a working repo. thanks Arne Claassen MindTouch San Diego, CA http://twitter.com/sdether On Jan 21, 2011, at 7:45 PM, Pablo Ruiz wrote: Hi, I have my own repo of mono which contains core packages of 2.8.1, 2.8.2 for CentOS 5.x. Re: [Mono-dev] Updated CentOS/RHEL packages?
Up until 2.6 series I used to rebuild from source rpms offered by novel for suse/opensuse, but at some point it started to be a bit cumberstone and required too much tweakening of some the spec files. Right now I just use fedora's mono source rpms with upgraded mono versions and some minor fixes where aplicable.. (ie. when some dependency does match or is still not available for centos/el). For the core rpm's it's nearly painless.. just rpmbuild -ba package.spec and go fly.. ;) However I'm just in the same situation as yours (for each new mono version I'm in the need of new packages) so if you feel we can colaborate or share resources I'll be glad ;) On Sat, Jan 22, 2011 at 3:36 PM, Arne Claassen ar...@mindtouch.com wrote: Pablo, thanks for the offer.
