Michal, Robert, Thank you for your suggestion, but I already tried that. I just rm -rf'ed mono and mcs and I'm trying a fresh new checkout from SVN (developer repository). Lets hope this helps. Apparently after wiping out mono and mcs and checking them out from SVN everything worked properly. Thanks for your help folks.
