I see there's an ld debian branch...

I wonder whether it should be a replacement for
monotone-server. In function, if not in name.

 nvm.web.ikiwiki

And before I forget it - you noticed that web edits do work now again...?

I had not noticed that. Do those edits get committed to mtn? I guess
they could be, since sign in is required.

[Monotone-devel] 'SelfHostingInfo' on mtn wiki

2010-11-06 Thread Stephen Leake
The wiki page http://wiki.monotone.ca/SelfHostingInfo/ seems to be the
prefered page for getting info on how to get set up for participating in
mtn development. But it's confusing; it talks about my server and not
being able to commit. And the URL syntax it uses is deprecated.

Should I rewrite it, or is there a better page already?

You're right, this page is outdated and I spoke with Richard already who
pointed me at it as well and gave him some directions. Please try to get
in contact with him and coordinate the edit.

Thanks,
Thomas.

[Monotone-devel] 0.48 - 0.99 sync behaviour change

2010-11-06 Thread Francis Russell
What happened to the sync behaviour between 0.48 and 0.99? I just notice
that a pull of net.venge.monotone{,.*} from
mtn://code.montone.ca/montone will always transfer at least 6850 certs,
24 revs (3.0M in, 1.1M out) with monotone 0.48. It looks like those
revisions and certs never hit the database. I can't imagine why the
number of certs transferred is so high.

Furthermore, it looks like 0.99 will save those revs to the database
whilst 0.48 will ignore them. Given that 0.48 is in Debian freeze, I
want to make sure I'm not missing an important bug here as 4MB data
transfer without any apparent database changes seems a little worrying.
