Re: [MOPO] WTB: The Spy in Black (1939) French petite +..

2012-03-10 Thread Simon Oram
Hi Mopo,

I’m after a French Petite for Michael Powell’s The Spy in Black (1939), this is
the black and white design of a man in silhouette holding a pistol. If you have
one for sale please contact me with price and condition.

Also still looking for paper on The Small Back Room (1949) posters only on
this, unless you have the still with David Farrar and the humongous whisky
bottle , then I would like to hear from you, price and condition as usual
please.

Thanks for looking.

Simon

[MOPO] LASER DISCS

Is anyone buying laser discs these days?

A client has some good titles.

Is there any demand for these at all?

Re: [MOPO] LASER DISCS

2012-03-10 Thread Steven Hill
Commonly, no, I don't think so. But there are still a few that can fetch good
money. It depends mostly on whether any of the laserdisc's contents have ever
been released in another format.
Check out this site: www.lddb.com
You can get a listing of all the LDs that people are selling, sorted by price.
Note that some of the ones that are priced highest are music-related, rather
than movies (because a lot of those music titles never got a DVD release).

Re: [MOPO] LASER DISCS

2012-03-10 Thread Roland Lataille
I use to have them. The picture quality and sound is better than VHS tapes but
not as good as DVD or Blu-ray. If the titles are not out on DVD or Blu-ray
there might be some demand. Check eBay for prices.
