Re: [MOPO] MOVIE POSTERS AS CLASSIC ART

2023-06-19 Thread Tom Martin

what a hoot Rudy...

Nothing surprises me anymore I'm surprised we don't see one sheet
posters being offered in dollar stores ")

Or being used in marketing to sell cars or some new pharmaceutical
marketing has become so much of everything that we've lost focus on
reality

I remember when I saved the first McDonald's happy meals it was used to
promote Star Trek the motion picture movie it came with miniature
communicators and all kinds of stuff related to the film that was in I
believe 1979 I actually had one of the counter displays for and started
saving movie related toys from and who can forget the Burger King Star
Wars glasses I had those also and I remember Tanner came out with the
alien toy doll that I could get on closeout for seven dollars each I
thought I was making a killing selling them for 40 and I was told the
other day that now they're selling for $1000 each if they're in the box
mankind has gone crazy

Tom
Hollywood dream factory®
since 1977
In 1989 I bought the licensing rights to make a Ghostbusters part two
clock and it was a movie real Clock we sold them for about 10 or $15
apiece but the last time I put one up on eBay it brought $75 we didn't
sell very many in the United States Columbia Pictures bought some to use
for promotion in Italy and Universal and Disney did not think they would
sell in the three theme parks so I got him and Spencer gifts what is
considering buying $7000 worth however cancel the order and went with
the Michael Keaton Batman movie instead as Batman was more successful at
the box office the Ghostbusters part two we live in a very fickle world

The concept is interesting but the execution is a torture to watch.

[MOPO] FA: Our 3 great current sets of auctions are now "live" and end 6/4, 6/6, and 6/9!

2023-06-19 Thread Bruce Hershenson
*eMoviePoster.com's three great current sets of auctions are now "live" and
end 6/4, 6/6, and 6/9 (containing 3,905 auctions in all!) and are filled
with wonderful stuff!Ending Tuesday the 4th
at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html
: 1,418 folded U.S. &
non-U.S. posters, cool comic books, lobby cards, 8x10 stills, and MUCH
moreEnding Thursday the 6th at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html
: 1,000 rolled posters (U.S.
non-U.S. art prints, and NON-movie posters)Ending Sunday the 9th
at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html
: 1,038 bulk lots containing
35,412 items in all; it's like walking into a store and everything is 90%
off!Or (for the next 15 full days, until the Tuesday auctions start to
close on the 4th) view ALL of the 3,451 current auctions in a single
gallery at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html
This is especially valuable
if you want to search ALL of the current 3,451 auctions at once for a star,
genre, size or whatever! And because we now have a "realistic $30 minimum"
for single auction items, it both means the quality level of our Tuesday
and Thursday items has gone WAY up, AND at the same time it means there are
LOTS of interesting items in our bulk lots! They say one picture is worth a
million words (with inflation!), and looking at the images of the 3,451
current auctions closing the 4th, the 6th, and the 9th is worth more than
millions of words I could write! And PLEASE don't wait until "later" to
start looking these over, because, with 3,451 auctions there will be many
great buys made! But YOU can't get those if you are not bidding, so please
start looking now!Not yet registered to bid? Go
to https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf
 to sign up (we qualify
our bidders, something few auctions do, which means you will always be
bidding against real bidders who honor their bids). And remember: WE are the
only major auction with NONE of those awful "buyers premiums" (and one
auction has a truly insane minimum buyers premium of $29, meaning they will
never sell any item for under $30, and that their poor consignors get
pennies from a $30 sale).Given that the first set of these auctions close
on the U.S. Fourth of July holiday, isn't it fitting and only right that
YOU declare your independence from auctions that don't treat you the
deserve to be treated, as we at eMoviePoster.com always do?*
