Hate is the enemy of Love

My experience with Gay people gos back two when I played with
Johnny and
the hurricanes in 1974

Johnny had a stew choreography in the band and we were at the Bach
conservatory because he had his huge mirrors for Ballarrinas to do
their
dance steps
Across the street who is the Esquire theater a woman named Rose
Larose
brought in strippers and myself and the drummer got to see Blaze
starr
live in person at the Esquire theater I was only 17
Also playing at the theater was deep throat and the devil in Mrs.
Jones
All of a sudden outside of our conservatory. A Cadillac convertible

saying Johnny and the hurricanes live at Bourbon Street show bar

It was run by a woman named Tony Rome from Detroit who was I guess
he
Dyke they called him back then in my days

I said Johnny Huston Bourbon St., Showbar a gay bar? He said yes he
said
we will play anywhere where they want to pay us no matter if it's a
gay
bar straight bar Anivar next thing I know the band and I were on a
catwalk playing for a lesbians drag queens and various gay people
and
I've never met gay people in my life
We were treated with respect and it was kind of funny getting
whistled
out by the audience but that was my introduction to the people
And I loved us dressed Cadillac convertible
with balloons and streamers and they were beeping their horn as
they
pulled up to the conservatory to say that the drummer and I were
not
embarrassed and scared to death would be an understatement
Several of the women in the show bar we're also strippers from a
topless
bar down the street they invited us to come and be there just one
was
named Cherokee and they were beautiful women

In the 80s when I started making costume armor for the Halloween
industry in cosplay I wanted models to pose in the armor and I
could not
find any straight women that would want to pose in the armor so I
contacted a local drag queen bar because they were open to dressing
in
the armor and being extravagant I said if you're posing the armor
for me
I will take pictures of you because they needed publicity pictures
to
get other gigs

Next thing I know they were giving out my phone number as a
photographer
that would be OK with taking pictures of drag queens and what they
liked
about me was because I like the old Hollywood glamour photography
of
George Harrell and they love the style of the black and white with
high
contrast shadows that I used
Next thing I know the drag queens were giving out my phone number
and
having people come from all parts of the country to help me take
the
promotional pictures because they liked my work I found them to be
very
kind people and some of them are more in touch with your femininity
then
a lot of women that were straight

People have to be crazy to not understand that many people in all
industries are gay such as doctors attorneys business people of all

kinds and some people are just more feminine than others same thing
with
the women that are Butch and gay they are some of the nicest people
I've
ever met and kind I think the problem is people confuse PDF files
with
gay people in So straight guys that are homophobic or offended and
just
see the sexual side of gay people instead of that
they are just more sensitive and open that is why many art gallery
dealers and art artist have multiple side

When I was young you were either straight gay or bisexual another
words
you could do you like to men and women in my case I always was
attracted
to
Very glamorous women for instance in movies hedy Lammarr, ann
Sheridan.
Rita Hayworth, Marilyn Monroe I liked a lot of the sexy vampires
that
were in horror films like the Hammer movie films I guess they would
call
that vampire women and the bad girls even in Disney films I thought
the
Sno Queen was sexy as well as all the femme fatale women like Joan
Bennett Scarlet Street etc

Anyways I also sold Halloween costumes during Halloween and it was
always interesting because the timid women who were not very sexy
always
wanted to dress up as the wicked witch or vampire or Elvira and the
wild

[MOPO] Mopo-andy warhol. Bernie Brillstein-posters and memorabilia

2023-08-27 Thread Tom Martin
Ive been getting Books on flashdrive for teh Blind...the Bernie
Brillstien was excellent as discusses John Baluchi,
Dan Aykroyd, all his various clients Michael Ovitz and how originally
they were called management three and he was partners with Jerry
Weintraub and another agent

It's funny because all the agents of the 80s I was able to speak to a
few of them I believe I even talked to Jerry Weintraub I got a meeting
with Herb Cohen who is Frank Zappa's manager and I was excepted to do
the songwriter showcase at the improv that was sponsored by broadcast
music otherwise known as BMI
They were making a movie about Rockstars that was being put together by
David Foster and Lawrence TURMan
So I talked to David Foster on the phone he was a very nice guy and I
guess it was from Canada originally he went on to do some of the major
artists of all time like see Celine Dion
I was only 20 i went to Hollywood didn't know what I was not supposed
to be able to do so I just did it

John Mahyall roadie was in the same motel as well as Tom Waits Imet Greg
Allman who had Chers new album and hison cassette tape/// i met bo
donalson and te heywoods as they were signed to Capitol records my dream
label..

Im 67 now and its all a blur

Now I get emails on Facebook purportedly coming from Ringo Starr Paul
McCartney and Yoko Ono I have no idea if they are just artificial
intelligence robots that have singled me out because they know I had an
interest in the Beatles but it's kind of fun there anybody wants to talk
to me.

All I can say is when I've been reading these books while listening to
the books it sounds like my lifestyle fit right in with all the rest of
the entertainment business because what birdie said was nobody really
knows nothing Adam was told me the same thing and from monitoring what
other people say on Facebook and such it doesn't seem like anybody knows
what they're doing and it's all basically a whirlwind of chaos

So my answer was to turn to God which when you bring that subject up
with anybody if you want to be left alone it gets immediately results my
friend today called when I told him I was listening to church sermons he
went into a diatribe about how the churches had shut aircraft at the
airport and I said I said I'm listening to them right now and these are
just young guys in their 30s talking about their faith in God he said
all I just doing it is a money grab to take advantage of people I said
well why don't you go on at least listen to them and see what they're
saying because if you really listen to what was said to her 3000 years
ago like today for instance I was learning about Abraham interesting
thing is the Muslims the Jews and the Christians all believe the Christ
emanated from Abraham in the Old Testament they just can't agree that
Jesus is the son of God so it gets people all riled up and confused when
you discuss Christianity' Andy Warhol and Michelangelo and Leonardo da
Vinci all believed in Christ as we age we discover how short life is
It seems like 100 is tops and Betty White didn't even make it to that
today Bob Barker died who did the TV show the price is right and
It seems like when you hit 80 or 90 you're counting down the days and
probably have many more questions than I do as far as what was the
meaning of all this so either you feel totally lost in crazy or you hope
that there is a after life and consider this the Egyptian's thought
there was an afterlife that's why they tried to save their stuff like
King tut did

I already seen that this life is fleeting however friendship and good
memories are to me what we store in heaven and if I'm right I believe we
actually live again after this life and God restores us physically and
mentally and spiritually I hope I'm right for once from what Jesus tells
us I think I got it down pretty good to imagine what is next however at
the same time listening to the news there was another shooting that's
racial and so I could see why many people are scared shitless and have
anxiety and so the doctors just keep giving people mental health drugs
to try to increase dopamine and get people to forget that they are
stressed
I personally called 988 that is for people that are suffering crisis or
stress or PTSD or mental health issues they agreed with me prayer was
about the best dancer that we can do and I find it very soothing when I
just think positive thoughts about my friends and family and I told my
son just pray because really none of us has control over anything
financially or businesswise or knowing what the next trend will be it's
all a crapshoot

I think maybe Bruce and a few others found the golden ticket to making
money and it worked for a while however I think younger people would
like to be more or less minimalists

Andy warhol went tochurch everyday so guess he thoughtlike me... LOL

a guy just called with more baseball cards they call whenthey need
moneyand many are

[MOPO] FA: 71 serial lobby cards mostly from serials based on a comic book or comic strip character, the rarest of the rare!

2023-08-27 Thread Bruce Hershenson
*My company, eMoviePoster.com, has SEVENTY ONE serial lobby card auctions
(including an unbelievable lifetime collection of SIXTY ONE serial title
cards) ending TUESDAY, beginning at around 7 PM CST at
https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/xtype%253Alobby%2520card/tag/genre%253Aserial/13.html
THE
PERSON WHO ASSEMBLED MOST OF THESE DID SO OVER A FIFTY YEAR PERIOD! He was
trying to get the extra-rare full-color Chapter One Title Cards from every
serial based on a comic book or comic strip character, and he found a
surprisingly high number of them, and he went after the best condition he
could find, upgrading whenever he could. A number of them are extremely
rare, and some are ones we have never auctioned before. This is a wonderful
opportunity to purchase one or many great cards from serial movies, and
there likely won't be such an opportunity again for many years, if
ever!Best of luck to everyone who bids, and please know these are lots of
fun to look at, even if you are just "window shopping"!Not yet registered
to bid? Go RIGHT NOW to https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf
 to sign up (we qualify
our bidders so you will always be bidding against real bidders who honor
their bids, not true in many auctions).*
