The Second Chance Offer scam isn't new. I've been getting these for at
least a year now. Best advice: Never click on any link in one of these
emails. To find out if the offer actually may be legit, go directly to
the ebay auction in question, and ask the seller about it through the ebay
message system.
Keep in mind though that, even if a second chance offer is 'legit', it may
still be a scam, in which the high bidder was a shill for the seller,
thereby unmasking your maximum bid and giving the seller a 'second chance'
to take you to the cleaners with a second chance offer.
By the way, nice to see you over at NSFGE, a forum where collectors are
free to say what on their minds, without fear of aggressive censorship by
overzealous forum administrators. (http://p097.ezboard.com/bstylec)
