Thanks for sharing. The steps and
frustration, the highs and the lows, are valuable when as FEMA
states all of us are to have evacuation and emergency plans where ever we
live.....And these details of time wasted, communication
meltdown, and chaos at the most basic level cannot be swept aside as
inconvenience for in that time hundreds perished. Every step has to
be considered.
..I can't imagine LA during a full evacuation.....its
beyond the pale of reality. When the Rodney King Fires hit I had to
get visiting execs with Cineplex Odeon out to the airport within a very
narrow window and all involved still talk about my Hell Hath No Fury Like
Freeman behind the wheel of a rented Mini Coach.......did you know they
can tread fairly large bodies of water? That was Friday so
Saturday a migration of WASPS went to beach locations south that was
almost nine hours........we are toast when the category 4, 6.2
on the Richter, 440,000 acres blazing "conflumaquake"
hits.........
I hope a Democrat is in the Big office, otherwise I
can just hear Hystart in the distance saying I can't see rebuilding,
wasn't it all make believe anyway? and Rush Limbaugh in a fit of religious
zealotry cheering that Sodom and Gommorrah have finally been smite by the
hammer of God.......and promptly assumes the role to rebuild Fox
Broadcasting.
