Re: [MOPO] Just when I thought the "suits" at eBay couldn't get any more stupid! This is their lamest move yet

2010-07-05 Thread Steven Yafet
Every now and then, I get an automated email asking - no telling - me to pay
for an Ebay purchase. But this happens after I've paid for it. Pay and pay
again?

Even more bizarre is that the 2 weeks free auction listings and some other
promotions are not available to anyone who has an eBay store. That is only
going to create more bad feeling amongst sellers.

How utterly bizarre, for any other organisation, but not for eBay.
So presuming you had paid for it, this is some automated system that puts the
onus on the seller
to make sure eBay "knows" the item has been paid for or if you haven't paid
for it yet (i.e. in the blink of an eye)
eBay are taking measures against you as a buyer?

It's right up there with their stupid logic about shipping costs, delivery
times etc.

It all rather smells like ebay might be in more trouble than anyone realises.

Offering 2 weeks of free auction style listings, at an earlier time in their
history, might have indicated they were trialing the very thing that seemed
obvious when so many sellers left because of their high listings fees and
increasing FVFs and attempt to woo both sellers and buyers back on a regular
basis. But no, it's just another desperate move from a company that lost the
plot and the basic rule of any good business - customer service.

Just when I thought the "suits" at eBay couldn't get any more stupid! I
just got an e-mail from eBay telling me they "opened an unpaid item case" for

OH MY GOD! This is a sure way to get buyers mad, and to leave bad ratings,

2010-07-04 Thread James Richard
This is ploy to get everyone to pay everything with PayPal. Since
Ebuggers owns PayPal (and the link the PAY NOT button on your "what I
won on ebay" page to PayPal IF you pay with PayPal the payment is
automatically filed. The seller does not have to do it. Otherwise, you
may get hassled. An explanation, not an excuse.
