I went back up to get better looks and a photo of the Bullockâs Oriole in
Riverton, Crow Wing County. He appeared briefly at 12:15, 35 minutes after my
arrival. As others have reported, heâs pretty skiddish. He first came to the
tall
shrub next to the jelly feeder, went away and came in to the feeder after a few
minutes. He stayed maybe eight seconds. Pam Perry, her nephew Neal (sorry,
forgot the last name) and one other person saw the bird. I got one blurry photo
before he departed. I stayed for over another hour and the bird did not return.
I read on one of the FB birding pages that the ownersâ driveway has been
blocked and too many people are using a neighborâs driveway to turn around
and itâs not appreciated.
He may go with this front coming through tonight. But if you want to chase, the
address again is 16702 2nd, Riverton. As you turn onto 2nd youâll immediately
see the brown house with lots of feeders in front. You can park your cars in
front
of the house (not the driveway!) on the park side of the street. Each time
Iâve
seen the bird he goes to the jelly feeder next to the orange oriole feeder.
