On Monday, mama Wood Duck was checking out one of the Woody boxes here at the Stivland ranch in Plymouth. This morning, she was checking out the interior of the box while papa stood guard on the Wood Duck box roof. No sign of Hoodies yet. Mallards are swimming in the 9 inches of open water at pond edge. Geese have made noisy visits, as well.
