AW: [mssms] RE: Web remote tools
Ok, thanks. What i meant is that the role-based model is not implemented... When the poweruser only has access to remote certain pcs, depending on OU for example, then I can manage this with the role-based access, security scopes, and collections so that the poweruser only sees certain pcs to remote to, in the console. With the standalone exe you have to configure all this with AD groups. So the problem is that although they could only see and use the objects they are supposed to, the extra nodes and appearance of folders etc confused them. Here, I have some powerusers who just need to use the remote tools, but they see the whole console structure. Any way to customize this? I know you can't secure folders which scopes and roles, but nodes? Any customized consoles out there? Or are my security roles wrong?
