Re: Basic v2.0 and 2.1?
What is the difference between basic v2.0 and v2.1? The only difference I know is the 'call Ramdisk(size)' command. In v2.0 you cound enter a size in kb, wich sometimes made some trouble. Basic v2.1 only allowed 'call Ramdisk(0)' to destroy it and 'call Ramdisk' to allocate all free mapper-space as ram-disk. The later BASIC versions e.g. v3.0 were set upon then v2.0 ramdisk-command. You can verify this bug with Compile´s Randar 2 which won´t work on v2.1 until you correct the call-Statement in the autoexec.bat-file. ttly, Herbert Kloseck -- Machen Sie Ihr Hobby zu Geld bei unserem Partner 11! http://profiseller.de/info/index.php3?ac=OM.PS.PS003K00596T0409a -- GMX - Die Kommunikationsplattform im Internet. http://www.gmx.net -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html

Re: Basic v2.0 and 2.1?
Ramdisk command (_ramdisk()) in basic v2.x) ?? Never heard of it. AFAIK _ramdisk is strictly enabled under DOS2. You are sure you don´t mix it with _memini or something like that if memory serves, this allowed to use 32K or less of conventional, not mapper memory for storage. Well, has Konami man not translated it too? The character codes were almost impossible to translate into a text file and anyway I didn't think it was really useful for programmers.
