Re: SD-Snatcher English, Starcrack version on Funet....

2001-12-31 Thread Tristan

 Hello,

Uploaded the 3 disks (XSA-files) to Funet a few minutes ago... Now you
have to wait till Tristan puts them on-line...

They are online now, in /pub/msx/games/msx2/konami.

Greetings,

Tristan

Re: SD-Snatcher by StarCracks

2001-12-31 Thread Eric Boon

 Hello,

Hola,

Tsk - who says you don't have an ftp program?
Every winshit clone comes with an ftp client!
  Open a command(DOS) window:

Didn't know that this was possible...

:-)

 Thanks for the help...

No problem. (Hey Manuel, can't you put this in the FAQ?)

had some troubles wuth the login but I used as
username anonymous and as password my email-address
(that was what I could remember from the time I used WS-FTP)

That's the nicest/friendliest/preferred option, yes. Most ftp servers
accept 'ftp' as an alias for 'anonymous', too and only check whether
there's an @-sign and some dots in the password to have it accepted
as a 'valid' e-mail address.

Eric

Since when? On my MSX turbo R it works perfectly well under MSX-DOS2.

Yes, it is.

Specify for example A: as input drive and B:bladiebla as output file

Then the MSX turbo R will start reading from drive A. And after a while it
will say:
please insert disk for drive B:

Then, you can insert your output disk. The turbo R will start writing to it.
And after a while, it will say:
please insert disk for drive A:

Then you insert your input disk again.

And so on.

This 'Please insert disk for drive A' or 'Please insert disk for drive B' is
a standard feature for the disk-rom and works for every program on machines
with only one physical diskdrive.

Kind regards,
Alex Wulms

Disk splitting

2001-12-31 Thread Takamichi Suzukawa
I think there was a util that splits fMSX-DOS concatenated disk image into
independent disk image files, but I forgot the download site.

Can anyone tell me quick MS-DOS commandline to split;
- A 1440KB file into two 720KB files
- A 2160 KB file into three 720KB files

?
