Re: knightlore
I think there is a Knightlore cart on sale on Ebay from DexterSoft so it does really exist. Phil You can look for it in ftp://legacy.mine.nu, there is a lot of games converted to rom (also games from spectrum). Re: weird mail flood
I did get a few lately, about one a day ... first I have to turn the fetch button since it says it contains large files, but when you download the full thing, you just get two empty lines... Phil Hello, Do some other people on this list also receive all this 0.1K mails from [EMAIL PROTECTED] ? At has just two empty lines ! Wat is causing this ? And more important how do I stop them ? Re: MSX Pictures - Help needed
Hello, When I had time, I used to browse : www.yahoo.co.jp Then entering the search string msx, you can actually find/save hundreds of pictures of MSX hardware and software. Good tip but already tried it - found some great images but not enough. -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html
RE: MSX Pictures - Help needed
I found a site with a lot of ancient computers. All computers I can think of are there with pictures, spect, the lot. Also MSX. Even that rare red MSX computer is on there.: http://www/homecomputer.de Have a look, maibe there are your missing pictures. Hapzee Unfortunately this is another one I visited and revisited to make sure I did not miss a model, no luck! However anybody looking into retrocomputing other than MSX - this is indeed a great site to check models. -- For info, see http://www.stack.nl/~wynke/MSX/listinfo.html
Re: MSX Pictures - Help needed
Title: Re: MSX Pictures - Help needed I must have some pictures about a special red Sony somewhere. When I find them, I'll send them to you. What is a MNS 8260? Never heard of it. Don't know much about it except it is listed on the MSX Hardware FAQ ... and a few other sites, but I guess this system never existed or was just in a project stage ... anybody knows more about it? Tristan, You are a genious, great initiative - still listening right now! Anybody who did no go there yet, go! It's just amazing (high-speed conection is recommended though). Phil MSXers, I'd like you all to know that I've started an internet radio station where I'll play MSX music and only MSX music! For now the playlist contains lots of Konami / Falcom stuff. Arranged versions but also original MSX soundtracks! In the near future I will also add MSX music made by MSX users. If you want your songs played, please send me your MP3's. Suggestion: host it on your local provider (if giving enough space) for free and use www.mydomain.com for URL forwarding - works very good for me (www.msxgamesbox.com) and it doesn't cost me a penny + the day you have to change provider, nobody will even notice. Re: Msx top 100
Rafael did not leave any news since beginning of August, I was about to include his Top100 in The MSX Games Box, but never got news back from him even after e-mailed him 3 or 4 times + messages on ICQ ... anybody some news from him? Phil Hey! I know I haven't been posting lately, this week I will put the list of the 100 best MSX games on-line, I am still taking votes, so if you still didn't vote, please, do it so! You have until next Saturday to do it. I just checked the page: it is still not online... RE: Top 100 MSX games
That's my big worry, to not get enough votes. But, take a look at MEP..it has about 300-500 hits daily. (Take a look ate MSX rating). If, say 50% (I know this is a very optimistic approach) of people visiting MEP, vote in the MSX top 100, then I think there will be enough votes... Realistically speaking if you get 1% of the visitors voting, it will be a success! From all my pages where people are invited to input their stuff, requests ... I only get 1 e-mail/day (out of 100-150 unique visitors) Phil MY WEBSITES YOU NEED TO VISIT ! * Beside the 300 games that are directly downloadable from the site, I've created a new section called 'Games on Request' where visitors can download an Excel file regrouping more than 1800 MSX games ... they just have to e-mail me with their request. Yes, it is a big step forward in terms of number of games now available. Excel? Please place it in raw text too, or in the old-fashioned way... HTML, TeX, DVI, PostScript, etc. I am working on the file this w/e and I will post a raw text version too. HTML would be too big as a file (1800 lines of game names and more). Re: What's new in MGAB
* I've also created some time ago a section called 'game covers' which has now some 60 different titles. I am trying to make this section larger and hope to get at 200 covers before X-Mas 2000 ... if you have any, please send them directly to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sounds you want to compete with FUNet (ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/graphics/jpg/ gamecovers) and/or Generation MSX (http://www.generation-msx.nl). FUNet and Generation MSX work together to get the biggest collection of MSX Game Covers... You could join us. (If Sandy agrees) Ofcourse i agree, you can even use a link to my page in you homepage, if you ask it :)) I'm not competing whatsoever with anybody. Shall I just recall MSX Games Are Back is already online for more than 2 years ... and OK to share our common libraries of game covers. However I prefer to host them directly on my site so to keep a good common GUI harmony (ndrl, Generation MSX is already in my links page). So, is it OK if I have a look at your covers and take them for insertion in MGAB? You can take whatever you want from MGAB to complete your respective collections.
