2001-01-02 Thread Maarten ter Huurne

On Tuesday 02 January 2001 06:02, you wrote:

*grin* isn't that why it's called 'send' and not 'queue'? :)

Since I clicked the send button in a reply window, I didn't expect 2 other
mails that were in the queue to be sent as well. In other words, I expected
that button to mean "send this mail" instead of "store in queue and send
entire queue".

Anyway, the filters have been installed manually by an admin from Stack,
because the config update feature refused to work. The filters seem to be
working, so you shouldn't receive any more HYBRIS trojans through the MSX
mailing list.

You received an "undisclosed-recipients bouncing doesn't work" message, but
that was an error from my side, the filter is set to bounce
"undisclosed-recipients:", so with a colon as the final character. I
corrected the test and sent it again and this time it worked.

And finally, I want to wish all of you a happy 2001!

Bye,
Maarten

It is not a mail program that is being tested, it is the mailinglist

anymore. But there was, unfortunately, no other way to test it than over
the mailinglist. (creating another mailinglist just for test purposes
was not really an option).

 Hi,

Sorry for the test mails, they were sent too soon. I queued them in my mail
client until I needed them, but I didn't know this mail client sends all
queued mail when I click the send button on a reply.

For some reason the mailinglist server isn't accepting the new configuration
file. It doesn't reply at all: no error message and no confirmation. I'll
have to get outside assistance again.

 Bye,
 Maarten

is it normal that you don't receive the message of your own if you have
posted a mail to this list???

I didn't get the mail I've sent (about last summer Compass #2.0), but
I noticed you guys (girls) did because Laurens made a remark about
  it...

  strange...

Well sometimes it takes a bit long before the message 'arrives' at your
 POP-server...
If I send a message I most of the time get it back in my mailbox about
 (half) an hour later.

Yeah, but this time it's something else. Most of the messages I have in my
MSX-Mailinglist folder are now in REVERSE order! And it's sorted on arrival date! So
something's really going wrong here... Last week I ususally had my own message back in
less than 10 minutes after sending it to the list...

I copied this mail to Wiebe, maybe he can have a look.
