Answer: At Spain, for example, until the massive arrival of HD interfaces such as Novaxis, MegaSCSI and 'lately' IDE, DOS2 was a nonentity. Still, a lot of people has a plain MSX2 (or 2+) with FM and maybe even Music Module. For that time (I speak about three years ago) Konami Man was the only programmer here who released regularly utilities for DOS2 and very few people used them (Turbo R and HD users). There's even a funny joke drawn by a common friend in which appears Konami Man and an user arguing about a new utility and the fact it is for DOS2. Hey Nestor, do you remind it? CYA Get EuroLinked!!! uploaded Split v1.1 (file spitter)
Hi all, Quickly after my previous upload, I again uploaded a utilitly I wrote once. It's called "Split" (v1.1), which is a file splitter, that you can use for example to split MegaROM files into single blocks, or easily strip some kind of header of a file. How you determine what files to break into pieces and exactly where, is up to you, there's no file searching or -viewing options in it. But it has almost every thinkable option of how you want files to be divided in smaller pieces. Only 'shortcoming': it needs MSX-DOS 2. So, if you need such a program for some purpose, you can get the ULTIMATE tool for this 'simple' task at: http://huizen.dds.nl/~alwinh/msx MSX Tech Doc page Greetings, Alwin Henseler([EMAIL PROTECTED]) MSX Mailinglist. Lot easier than inluding (terrible) Dos1-support... Oh, I was also wondering who hasn't got a harddisk? Ok, I know the MSX-ers on this list are only the real die-hards, so this will not be a relyable question for the general MSX-user, but still... I'd like to know. ~Grauw MSX Mailinglist. Zip and Jazz, it does not make any difference. You can see at your jazz-drive what type of connector is used. Almost any kind of cable can be bought in a computer shop. If not, they can order it... What type of connector does the jazz-drive have? half pitch sub D 50 pin? These are easy to get, but these things cost about 80 guilders... greetings -+-+-+-+-+-+- Maico Arts Isabella van Portugalstraat 9 5346 PJ OSS tel: +31-412-690757 fax: +31-412-690432 [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] -+-+-+-+-+-+- MSX Mailinglist.
