There are problems with mutt recognizing new mail on the mbox format. I suggest considering moving your mailboxes to the 'maildir' format. It's easy and mutt works well with it. Also procmail supports it. -- Micha. The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material. Re: lynx -dump for html mail
Use 'text/html; lynx -force_html %s; needsterminal' It works for me. On Thu, 21 Jun 2001, JT wrote: I've been getting an increased amount of HTML mail *BLECH*. I have the following line in my mailcap: text/html; lynx -dump %s; copiousoutput and I keep getting the raw HTML instead of the formatted output in my pager. Strangely, lynx from the command line does what I would want it to do with -dump. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA, JT -- Micha. Two questions (maildir and mailinig lists)
Hi. I have a couple of slightly annoying problems: 1. I'm using maildir, and the 'sent' folder messages apear at the index with 0 lines (I had the same thing will all folders, but it was fixed using the procmail lines count). Can it be fixed? 2. When I post to a mailing list, I see my messages (in the idnex) with the 'From' field saying 'To list@host' instead of my name. Any ideas? Thanks, Micha.
Re: %l broken in pager_format for maildir folders?
On Sun, 08 Apr 2001, Louis-David Mitterrand wrote: Shorter: :0 fhw * !^Lines: * B ?? 1^1 ^.*$ | formail -a "Lines: $=" Thanks, that's great. Now I have another problem with %l, this time in my 'sent' folder. I use 'set copy' to copy all outgoing messages, and in that folder, all messages have 0 lines in the index. Any Ideas? Thanks, Micha.
%l broken in pager_format for maildir folders?
Hi. I'm using mutt 1.3.17i on a linux machine. I just converted all my mailboxes to maildir format, and the pager reports 0 lines for all messages (%l field). Any ideas? Micha.
Screen gabage (newbie)
Hi. I just started using mutt, and have a question. After many screen changes (going to the next message, etc), my screen doesn't update completly (some garbage from the previous mail remains). Ctrl+L helps. Any ideas how this can be solved? (I looked at the FAQ and list archive but can't find the anwer). I'm using mutt 1.2.5i on IRIX 6.5 [using ncurses 5.2], using SGI xwsh. Thanks. -- Micha
