Hi.. i found your email over a mailing list about mutt..

I was looking for a small help with that program.. there is any way to
tell mutt via command line or by configuration file to use a specific
server for delivery the message.
I have varius machine with private ips (192.168.xxx.yyy) and i want that
mutt will send all messages to a specific ip for relaying ..

Any idea ?

Thanks in advice..

That is an issue for your local sendmail (or whatever MTA you run on
your desktop).

Set your desktop sendmail (or whatever) to smarthost through the relay
you specify. In sendmail set the DS flag (DSyour.smarthost.name).

To automate this, see http://cork.linux.ie for a rather neat script (for
configuring sendmail on boxes behind lans / connected over dialups)

Or get yourself something like Masqmail / Nullmailer (search
freshmeat.net or elsewhere) if you dont want to run an MTA on your
desktop.
