Nope. Try stopping by my github and compare your .muttrc with mine :-) Thanks but no thanks for the spin on your hub. I found my error. I mistakenly reversed two letters of my user name -- an extremely unusual error, but the two letters were similar within a particular thought process and then interweaved throughout a file naming scheme, further masking the error. shrugs. Stuff happens to the best of us. ... but then again, most guys can't even boast of such offers as the one mentioned above. ;-) -- Roger http://rogerx.freeshell.org/ Key fingerprint = 9E34 2419 6616 7260 F089 FEEA 56A2 1907 DBBE 9744 Tue Feb 23 23:58:25 AKST 2010
First Login into Google's IMAP GMail using Mutt
Anybody else having problems logging into Google's IMAP GMail for the first time after account creation using Mutt? I keep getting Login failed when executing a similar muttrc file for my two other GMail accounts. 4 * OK Gimap ready for requests from 66.230.112.88 2if712929pxi.29 IMAP queue drained 4 a CAPABILITY 4 * CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UNSELECT IDLE NAMESPACE QUOTA XLIST CHILDREN XYZZY Handling CAPABILITY 4 a OK Thats all she wrote! 2if712929pxi.29 IMAP queue drained imap_authenticate: Using any available method. The only real difference of procedures, the other two accounts were regularly accessed by Gnome Evolution. I'm wondering if the imap server has to recognize the mail client, or the user's mail client needs to create files/folders on the remote imap? -- Roger http://rogerx.freeshell.org/ Key fingerprint = 9E34 2419 6616 7260 F089 FEEA 56A2 1907 DBBE 9744 Tue Feb 23 15:14:57 AKST 2010
