and even though spaces between pattern parts are not necessary
i find it much more readable with spaces in between them:

  macro index #FM 'search-reverse~F ~b manual.txt\n'

oh, yes, enter is possible - but it's much too long.

You wrote ``latest''. If I didn't change sorting order the
macro would find the last flagged message in the latest
thread, not the latest flagged message in any thread.
