The option to see date time is really useful, but I notice that it only refreshes
the time when you perform an action within the message. Is there any way to get around
that? I just think it's kind of irritating to be reading through a message, and seeing
only the time at which you opened it, as opposed to the current time.

Curiously, the 'time received' field (for showing when the message was
received by the machine) isn't localed while the other two are.

Hence the three I have on my pager format (sent, received, current) are
a bit odd in that a message can appear to have arrived a number of hours
before it was sent.

Why don't I fix the time on the machine? It's a US based machine and I'm
not in the US and it's not my machine to do such with =) Hence I have my
locale settings set to my city. Works fine with 'date sent' and current
time, but not with 'date received'. Most peculiar.

What are you doing using tin? slrn!

mutt and slrn were a match made in heaven.

I use slrn too - but tin (esp the new version - dust) has improved a lot :)

You can add to: set pager_format="%!%T". This will show current
local time in your pager status line.
