However, it seems to be waiting considerably longer than 10s. I just now had a new message become visible that, per the logs, was actually delivered to my mailbox about 4 minutes ago. Of course, if I press any of the navigation keys while on the index screen, new mail shows up instantly. Any suggestions? I suggest to add this question to the FAQ, as it definetely is one.
