You listening Andrey? The lack of any positioning from you, regarding this calandar view, for probably 2 or so years, is discomforting... the resquest for this feature has existed as long as I have know about MLO - 2 or 3 years I guess - all the arguements for and against have been discussed many times, but all without any significant reply from you, the master designer... [MLO] Re: Feature Request: My Business Organised
I completely agree. Cannot stand anything made by Microsoft - Including the (currently only available to MLO) Windows OS's. Bring on the OSX version. However, adding a few extra features, such as a timeline view and a few other tabs in the To Do list view, would not change the software at all- simply add a few more useful features! :D On Apr 17, 7:22 pm, Michael Hopkins michael.hopk...@gmail.com wrote: I have to say this - the day MLO reminds me of MS Project in anyway is the day I look for something else. :p On Apr 16, 2:10 pm, Richard C r...@rcollings.co.uk wrote: Excellent post! I would like to post my five future improvements: 1) The 'Professional' version should be My Business Organised - slightly more complex project and business management tools and a smarter looking GUI (See Merlin 2/Microsoft Project for example)- Dashboards are nice! Improved views, such as a Timeline (linear) representation of my tasks spread over my suggested times to complete, Charts creation and other useful tools aimed at businesses. Additional 'Note' or 'Header/ Footer' tasks (simply used for referencing and annotating what you are working on) similar to html coding for example. 2)The ability to turn a piece of text within a task into a 'link' to the file in question on your hard drive (to easily open and reference it). Alternatively, Allowing the Notepad section in MLO to accept copy/pasted pictures and Word documents as well as HTML/website images and text, other than simply text. Means you can store more info regarding that task in one place. The Notepad should 'pop out' I think too- allowing you to fully reference and see the document as and when (a third view mode to the current two). 3) Mac OSX support - I am about to go Mac/ipod so would'nt be the same without MLO_Business. Way too many To-do tasks in a row for my project (over 900!)- need to somehow structure it better so it looks more fragmented/achievable! (like project software again, without menu after menu and manual reading) 5)More options regarding Folders/Tasks- such as a 'Master Project Folder' (could be a different colour and larger for example), which would help to separate the tasks from the projects, and visa versa. [MLO] Re: Feature Request: My Business Organised
Hi Richard I am based in Winchester, UK. Where are you? Thanks for the reply- Regarding the To Do tab; I agree. A timeline would do it; (with text annotations) -the point being that you would not be taking anything away from users- simply offering them more graphical data and utility., and more useful view(s). In fact- that Tab Row upon the To Do list looks like another 5-6 useful tabs could go there- So add some simple project management features! I'd like a dashboard, with timeline and chart builders as a high priority!, information analysis/review, financial targets tools etc. I love the idea of the MLO system analysing and determining for me what I need to do first, in what order.Brilliant. - bit confused about where i should be adjusting sliders, or selecting dependancies appropriately that is slightly inhibiting my experience currently- so any advice you could give would be great.. Re the Project Management Software- I like your software being easier to learn than project management software- it looks how my brain works! Keep up the good work, thanks for creating it.
