[MLO] Re: In the new version 2.0 of MLO for IOS - How do I move a task from the Inbox to folder on the Iphone?
Hi any update on this? I can't see how to get items from Inbox to a project on iOS. Many thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MyLifeOrganized group. [MLO] Multiple MLO data files sync to multiple devices
May I synchronize separate MLO data files to separate devices? I have a personal iPhone and a work iPhone. I would like to have a work MLO data file and a personal. If I use cloud sync I can synchronize to multiple devices, but can pick the data files I want to synchronize to each of those devices. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MyLifeOrganized group. Re: [MLO] Multiple MLO data files sync to multiple devices
Yes you can. On each device you can select the cloud file you are synchronizing. [MLO] Re: Is there a way to import indented tasks with notes
You have to set up the RTE box to recognise new lines as new entries, I think. You can set what proportion of the text gets pushed into the note. Go into Tools - Options, and in the popup window select General Application Options - Rapid Task Entry dialog. I've got mine set to push text beyond 100 characters into the note, but I'm thinking of reducing this limit further. Stéphane On Monday, 6 October 2014 11:36:46 UTC+1, Mark wrote: Hi, not sure about the notes, but have you tried the Rapid Task Entry dialog? That should handle the hierarchy for you. I know that there is a cut off after a certain number of characters, and the then the rest ends up in the notes - but i am not sure at what point that is... [MLO] Re: In the new version 2.0 of MLO for IOS - How do I move a task from the Inbox to folder on the Iphone?
Hello Nick, I'm using the beta on iOS, so I hope that what I describe is in the current release: You can move an *individual item* by selecting it, swiping from right and then scrolling down to the Move Task button. (This button is a little hidden away here - I've suggested to Andrey that it should also be accessible by tap-and-hold on an item, then pressing on the More button and putting it just above the Delete Task button.) Anyway, when you select move task it defaults to a list of projects, but you can start to type the name of any task in the search box at the top and it will offer you all the tasks which match the search term, as a potential parent. For moving *multiple items*, select the ^ button on the bottom-right and then chose Multiselect. Once you've chosen the tasks you want to move, you'll see a four-way arrow button (the move button) at the bottom left of the screen. Hope that helps, Stéphane On Wednesday, 8 October 2014 20:14:04 UTC+1, Nick Simpson wrote: Hi any update on this? I can't see how to get items from Inbox to a project on iOS. [MLO] Re: One Mobile App View I Would Love to See ... MLO vs WL
Which platform are you on? Windows, iOS or Android? As Olivier says, you can set up any custom filter you like, with any grouping you like. This is true of the Windows and iOS platforms, but I'm not sure that custom filters have been introduced for Android yet. (By the way; Andrey tells us that MLO Android development has just restarted, so many users are eagerly anticipating getting some of the new features on their Android devices). Starred tasks organised by context is a straightforward filter. We could create it for you and then send you the filter file, but it would probably be better to guide you through the process of defining filters and assigning them to Views (which are filter and zoom combinations, saved so you can access with one click) or Workspaces (the tabs at the top of the Windows screen, which can be set to contain a pre-defined View). Regards, Stéphane On Wednesday, 8 October 2014 22:31:53 UTC+1, robisme (Olivier R) wrote: You just have to create a view (filter is starred), and assign this view to a panel. and voilà. Perhaps don't you know how to create a view ? if so, we could help you more acurately, but first say it. (sorry, my english is not good) Olivier Le samedi 4 octobre 2014 09:58:51 UTC+2, TahirXJO a écrit : I recently flirted with Wunderlist for various reasons and I returned to MLO within a week. However the one really small but (for me) really great feature was their Starred View. So in WL you choose Starred and it shows you all your starred tasks categorised by context. I loved that. It means I'm not jumping into the menu and choosing the filters all the times. That on it's own would make me so much more productive and on task during the day. Just a quick starred view and I know where I am in the rush of the day. To go one step further, the ideal might be this: Let the user choose the the view using the existing context filters (which are great). Then the user gets to save that view to the home menu. I guess this would involve making the home page a bit more editable, i.e. letting the user choose what appears on the start menu. If I missing something and anyone has found a way of doing something similar, please let me know. [MLO] Feauture Request: MLO web based
Is there a web-based version in the pipeline? Being able to deploy on several platforms is nice, but one still has to synchronize (though Win is pretty automatic and Android indicates the need to sync). Where it becomes annoying is when one is working at a client's site - typically where you need to be on top of things -. It would be so much easier to have web-based access to MLO from a clien'ts computer at that time, instead of typing on a small mobile device ... I use DOit.im for TODO's i want to manage at client locations for ONLY that reason. In all other cases (not managing at client's site, private stuff, my own company, reference material) MLO remains preferred. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MyLifeOrganized group.
