[MLO] Automatic reminder added to new tasks when they are created in the Today view IOS

2019-06-17 Thread John Hughes
On the IOS version, in the Today view: If you group your My Tasks "By
Reminder", and you create a new task, that task will automatically get a
reminder set at 10 minutes after the task is created. Bug or Blessing?

[MLO] Some advices about Mylifeorganized

2019-06-17 Thread Leichao Bai

I hope there are other payment options, it is difficult for someone who
have not credit card, so it is necessary open Alipay or Wechat for support
for Chinese.

In addition, the purchase of different platforms should be made into a
one-time purchase, it is a very bad idea for purchasing separately.

The Email address of 'supp...@mylifeorganized.net' was useless, please
check out.

Thanks!

Is there an equivalent view on the desktop? I'm at my computer most of the

On iOS and Android there’s a standard view called Start in the Next 7 Days.
Doesn’t this do what you want or am I missing something? Today (17th) it shows
me tasks including ones with a start date of the 23rd and a due date of the
27th.

Re: Re[2]: [MLO] Re: Tasks with start date in range not showing

2019-06-17 Thread Stéph
"Active" and "Available" tasks won't work in this case, because James wants
to be able to include tasks which have not started yet (ie not yet active),
but which will start in the next 7 days. That makes it tricky, even when
using the long list of filter criteria currently available in the app.

btw: Isn't this a great community site? Four of us all jumping in to try to
find a solution for James! ...and nobody ever trolls (hope I haven't spoken
too soon :-))

All the best,
Stéphane

Re: Re[2]: [MLO] Re: Tasks with start date in range not showing

2019-06-17 Thread Stéph
OK, got it. So, you don't want to see "active" tasks which are due in the
next 7 days, but any tasks which have started or will start (ie will *become
*active) within the next 7 days. That's going to need a different filter.

I'm struggling to be able to produce that filter, using the Advanced filter
options. Selecting "Active" tasks only doesn't work, because that only
shows tasks which have already started (start date is now or in the past).
Ideally, we need to select the filter for "All" tasks but then apply all
seven of the filters listed for active tasks in the help manual (via the
Contents list, under Basic concepts.. -> Views -> Task Filtering), except
that we need to change criterium 3 to "the Start Date for the task is not
set or Start Date is <= Today+7". However, there are no Advanced filter
criteria available to fully duplicate rules 2, 5 and 6 for all of its
parents.

So, we could create a filter on All tasks which comes close, but it would
still show tasks in branches with a completed grandparent task, a
grandparent set for "hide in to-do", or a grandparent requiring subtasks to
be completed in order.

You might get something useable if you create an outline view filter
(instead of a to-do list view filter) which just filters out anything which
has no subtasks AND has a start date >= Today+7

Regards,
Stéphane

[MLO] Re: Linux Support

2019-06-17 Thread Stéph
It would be good to get some text about the method into the MLO user
manual, if you're willing to write out a step-by-step.

(From a personal point of view, the latest Windows 10 update has broken my
ability to access my NAS server. This is the "straw which breaks the
camel's back" and I'm seriously considering looking into Linux, even though
I'm a bit nervous about having to learn how to grapple with Linux command
line syntax and complicated software installation and management).
