[MLO] MLO Contexts filter to only show contexts with tagged items

2022-07-11 Thread alex.bsc
In Windows MLO (but also for others), where the Contexts Filter is shown,
instead of listing all the contexts, together with the number of items in
brackets, e.g.

@Work (3)
@Home (1)
@Shops
@Park

only show the contexts that are actually tagged, i.e. only

@Work (3)
@Home (1)

omitting entirely

@Shops
@Park

WOW, nice, that didn't occur to me.
It really works that ways it seems, perfect!
Thanks Michael!

[MLO] Use Models for OK Google and Calendar Integration?

2022-07-11 Thread Lisa S
[ TLDR I'm looking to hear about your use model (flow of information/how
you use it) for using MLO and Google (e.g. controlling tasks by voice and
Calendar integration) together. ]

Hi everyone, long time no seesorry I dropped off the grid for several
years :) We're doing alright, still lots of health issues in the family,
but doing fine. I haven't been using very many features of MLO for a while
(mainly the Starred Active Tasks on Android as well as dropping in tasks
for things I'd like to get to sometime), but I have been starting to dust
off my extensive MLO task database and get it up to date with my life, and
bought 10 years of cloud sync to support the team in Ukraine.

I'm not sure I even know what I'm asking, because I'm in that "I don't know
what I don't know" stage. I have quite a few appointments scattered through
the week, but many hours of my day are unscheduled/interrupt driven and due
to low energy levels which vary, scheduling a task to force myself to get
it done has never appealed to me.

 I use Google Calendar for tracking my time commitments, Google Home and
Android devices with MLO as well as Desktop MLO, and Google reminders just
because they are convenient (which I don't like at all and what to move
away from). I've played with the Google Calendar integration some but what
I am missing is a consistent use model (and brain power is not what it used
to be right now!)

What have you found works well and doesn't work so well? I've set up the
Calendar integration and having the reminder through the Calendar is
helpful (my desktop doesn't always have MLO open though maybe I should
change that), but maybe I need to also go the route of voice adding tasks
through IFFT (which I played with long ago but not recently).

Thanks,

Lisa

RE: [MLO] [IDEA] REMINDERS > Overdue reminders

2022-07-11 Thread 'Michael Emerald, CFA' via MyLifeOrganized
I “think” you can?

I believe that the way reminders work is this: if you set the reminder manually
to be 3 days after the due date, the reminder will always be 3 days after the
due date, even if it recurs.

You may be saying something else; e.g., that there should be a default reminder
that you can set to remind you when any task is 3 days overdue.

Take Care,

I would like to have reminders based on the overdue time of a given task.

I.e. - I would set a reminder, that reminds me when a given task is 3 days
overdue.

Re: [MLO] [REQUEST] CONTEXTS > SHOW IN > New setting - Show in props line

2022-07-11 Thread Radek Pilich
The problem is simple:
- lets say I have 30 contexts
- lets say typical task has more than 5 contexts

In this scenario, showing contexts in the props line is pretty useless,
because it's too much information.

However If I could define, what contexts show up in the props line, only 1
or 2 out of 5+ contexts of a given task would show up in the props line.

That would make the props line useful.

Right now, as too many contexts are shown in the props line, I have to turn
off the display of contexts in the props line.

I hope it's clearer now.
