Re: [MLO] Fewer links to external programs in Android2.0?

2016-02-18 Thread Dwight Arthur
Hi, Benny. I don't know the definitive answer to your question but I can tell
you my observations.

Many apps that support outgoing shares, start with a question, "share as".

If you select Text, MLO should be available. If you select Picture, it should
not offer MLO. I *think* that some apps offer to share as event, or calendar
entry. I *think* that this works with MLO. Share as HTML definitely does not
work with MLO. There are other options but these are all that I know. If an app
does not offer a choice it's because the app only supports one option.

To your second question: if you want the target file to be locally stored on
each platform where you have MLO installed then you don't really want links or
connections, you want attached files. And no, MLO doesn't support attached
files. The best I know how to do is to find some other app that *does* support
attached files, and link to it. You already ruled out two of the most popular
tools that people use, Evernote and Dropbox. There are others, like Google
Drive. Once you pick a tool, you need to store your file in the tool and get a
platform -independent pointer to the tool's item that contains your file
(usually a URL) and paste the pointer into your task.

Is there anyone who can tell me what kind of Android Notes/Document/

In Android 1.x I felt that the MLO symbol appeared in many programs when I
pushed the share button in a lot of programs, but now I hardly see it in any
program using Android 2.0!?

And an earlier question I had in Android 1.X was, if it is possible to use my
MLO-Android 2.0 on Phone or Tablet to be able to connect/link to external data
like a photo, recording, documents etc. stored on the Phone/Tablet and Desktop!
And it should ofcourse also link to the same synced document, preferably stored
localy on my desktop (not Dropbox etc. if possible) . And I want to do this
without having to use another software like Evernote etc. Does anyone have a
clever solution to be able to do this in an easy way!??

Ben
