fpe, can you update on alternatives re MLO if/when you find any. The
desktop app is brilliant but the mobile apps are useless for me and
I'm trying to get a good solution that works for both.

Yes - I can get the project name in the todo listing just with one
tap. But when you are looking at a full list of tasks, one tap for
each task to know what it means is not acceptable.

But once again, it is hard to please everybody. And it is why MLO
(desktop) is so nice : it offers a lot of flexibilty. For example, I
use a user-defined format in the todo list [project] - task name.

The MLO android version is very nice but it still lacks this
flexibily ... why not using options defined in the desktop version
with MLO Cloud ... maybe it will part of the next version ... I will
put some post on the android forum.

Francois.

Just checking: you know that if a task is in your Android to-do
listing, with one or two taps you can bring up the Task Info screen
which has the project name and a lot of other stuff, right?

I personally would not want the project name in the to-do listing as
it would make it too busy and crowded, and harder to read, especially
since the info is only a tap or two away.

I disagree. I've been asking for the restoration of the project name
in the to do lists since the start of the Android App. It was there in
the pocket pc version and was essential to c distinguish similar tasks
from different projects. I'd actually like the option to show the
parent task for non projects too.
That and some colour coding.

2011-12-31 Thread Lisa Stroyan
I'm not arguing that project name shouldn't be an option to display (as
long as it can be turned off, I don't see why it isn't there yet since so
many people have asked for it from day one -- and it seems to be reasonably
easy to implement. It could even be another View mode, where it was shown
in small text underneath).

But, in regards to your comment below, try tapping on the first task and
hitting next to go through your list. A little kludgy but better than
tapping each task.

[MLO] Re: Comments on MLO roadmap

2011-12-31 Thread BOC
I agree with Nick. Project name encoding is a huge need.

The primary function my android device now serves is a quick todo list
with the starred widget.

I setup my workflow based on the Windows system (project names
encoded) and the current android todo interface is uncomfortable for
me to use so I don't.

Project names encoded would drastically change my use.
