[Mythbuntu-bugs] [Bug 982272] Re: Enable libcec support in mythtv

The Precise Pangolin has reached end of life, so this bug will not be
fixed for that release

Bug description:
Mythtv 0.25 supports using libcec (http://libcec.pulse-eight.com/) and
a special USB adapter to let the TV remote (rather than an IR blaster)
  control mythtv.

Enabling this just involves adding 'libcec-dev' to Build-Depends in
v0.25, except the libcec version in Precise is a straight import from
Debian, and that version is too old, so requires updating too.

I'm using this on a new mythtv box I've set up, and apart from
requiring me to use the source code to work out what keybindings to
  configure, it works quite well.

[Mythbuntu-bugs] [Bug 1227831] Re: New MythTV releases need to be manually inserted

2021-10-13 Thread Steve Langasek

New MythTV releases need to be manually inserted

Status in mythbuntu-common source package in Precise:

Bug description:
  [Impact]
Currently the Mythbuntu Control Centre "Repositories" plugin is present to be
able to guide users into newer versions of MythTV. The newer versions of
MythTV need to be documented in a flat 'repos.db' that is stored in bzr and
updated by hand.

As the matrix of available versions has been changing throughout our release
cycle, this has turned into an extra maintenance pain. We have automated the
generation of this file along with a graph of supported releases.

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mythbuntu/mythbuntu/mythbuntu-weekly-build/view/head:/generate_repos_database.py

The outputs are these two files:
  http://download.mythbuntu.org/repos/repos-support-list.png
  http://download.mythbuntu.org/repos/repos.db

Repos.db can be consumed by mythbuntu control centre to pull from that web
URL instead of from bzr.

  [Test Case]
  1) Remove .mythbuntu/repos.db
  2) Update to a newer version of mythbuntu-common
  3) Open MCC and choose the repositories tab
  4) Hit Update
  5) Make sure all releases through 0.28 are listed

  [Regression Potential]
If downloads.mythbuntu.org goes down the app won't be able to pull this
update.

[Mythbuntu-bugs] [Bug 1718227] Re: replacement of ifupdown with netplan needs integration for /etc/network/if{up, down}.d scripts

2021-10-13 Thread Sergio Durigan Junior
I've also submitted a Merge Request against the Debian clamav package:

https://salsa.debian.org/clamav-team/clamav/-/merge_requests/4

Hopefully it will be accepted & merged into Ubuntu soon. If not, I will
submit an MP to add this change as a delta to our package.
