hello, I think using nrpe is not a good idea. I use snmp Trap of dell openmanage for alert in Nagios. SNMP is a generic protocol. You can monitor server and switch with the same method. Sou novo na lista e ja coloquei o nagios para funcionar e monitorar os meus
hosts, porem não sei como fazer para que ele me envie mensagem sms via
celular... ligo o celular na porta serial ou usb do micro??? quais arquivos
precisam ser modificados??? Utilizo a operadora Oi no Sul de Minas Gerais.
A mensagem tem que ser enviada via celular conectado ao micro sem o uso de
brokers. Tenho um celular motorola V235... É preciso instalar algum plugin
adicional???

Benedito. Eu tinha esses problemas de timeout com snmp também. O snmp, por usar udp, é muito sensível a pequenas oscilações na rede. Passei a usar NRPE no lugar do snmp. Todas as checagens são feitas via SNMP, através dos plugins do site manubulom, do nagiosexchange. Ocorre que surgiu a demanda para implementar o Nagios nas demais filiais, sendo que algumas têm muito mais hosts e serviços que a minha. A maior, tem 2000 hosts e 6000 serviços. Notem que será um servidor Nagios por filial. Na maior das filiais, incluí todos os 2000 hosts e 6000 serviços. A checagem de hosts está funcionando OK. Mas as de serviços, apresentam a mensagem Nagios check time-out em muitos casos. A máquina está com 16 processadores e 16 Gb de memória. Portanto, não acredito ser problema de insuficiência de hardware. Deixei os parâmetros default do nagios.cfg. Resumindo: - Preciso de dicas de como melhorar a performance do Nagios. - Existem parâmetros específicos no nagios.cfg, a serem alterados, para melhorar a performance em redes grandes como a minha? Caros, Estamos com o centreon 2 funcionando redondo. Monitoramos 700 roteadores , 450 servidores , e cerca de 3000 serviços, dos mais variados tipos. Na questão de configuração em massa, ele é ideal. A questão da usabilidade da ferramente também é bastante interessante. Utilizo o esquema de pollers do centreon para gerenciamento, sem problemas algum. Meu problema é que as vezes o servidor demora de responder o ping e o nagios já me envia uma notificação dizendo que o servidor esta fora, mas na realidade só foi um aumento momentaneo de latencia devido a este servidor esta conectado via DSL na Internet. Gostaria de atrasar o envio da notificação para que o nagios só me envie a notificação quando depois de uns 2 ou 3 check, a latencia realmente estiver alta. Procurei sobre isso, mas nao consegui achar aonde configuro, alguem pode me ajudar? Desde já, agradeço muito! Cara, Usa o Oreon para manutenção e alguns gráficos, sendo na minha opinião, pobres demais também. A questão de desempenho use o cacti, existe um modulo que integra os cacti com o nagios. Hugo, até onde eu entendo, seu problema é de network, não do Nagios, ele em si, só irá lidar com endereços únicos, ou seja, se houver coincidência de IP, você terá que usa NAT para chegar em alguns clientes, desconheço outra solução para a sua necessidade. Senhores, gostaria de saber se existe algum usuário do NagVis aqui na lista. Comecei a usar esse add-on e estou achando-o maravilhoso, é o que eu precisava para os meus Chimpanzés (operadores), rs. Acontece que estou com um pequeno problema, quando tento colocar uma imagem muito grande, no WUI ela aparece e eu consigo configurar direitinho os Hosts e Serviços, mas na interface de produção a imagem não carrega, fiz diversos testes, com uma Imagem de 1280x700 tudo bem, com uma de 1024x768, também, mas uma de 1280x960, nada aparece!
