[Nagios-users] MIB additions
I keep running across MIB lists that imply they can be loaded into SNMP monitoring softwares directly. Is there provision to do this in Nagios? I have some hardware devices that I would like to monitor, and can get these lists, but don't know how to get them into a form where Nagios/SNMP can determine the OIDs I need. [Nagios-users] canon printers
I have managed to monitor all my HP Laserjet printers using check_hpjd. I have several networked Canon copier/printers on my LAN, and can't seem to get any response back from them, although snmp is installed, and I try check_snmp. Does anyone have any experience/idea what to do? I can't seem to even find OIDs for Canons. Michael T Gregg Director of Information Technology Christian Medical Dental Associations P.O. [Nagios-users] Host Groups multiple group membership
Since some servers actually don't have certain windows services running, or maybe others don't have memory usage stats, etc, I don't want to hav a constant red flag for one server because of that. So I am attempting to apply services to my hosts by groups. My question is this; Can one host be a member of more than one group? ie a structure I am looking at is: Windows server group Dell server group Non-Dell server group Linux server group Dell server group Non-Dell server group Will any of this cause potential conflicts? [Nagios-users] check_snmp
It seems that for some reason my new install of nagios 3.0.6 into Debian lenny has failed to install check_snmp into the /usr/local/nagios/etc/libexec folder. It has a multitude of other check_snmp_blah blah, which I am sure are all based on it, but IT is not there, and several of my plugins call for check_snmp. How can I get it there?
