Re: [Nagios-users] Viewing problems of one type
2009/4/22 Nick Urbanik ni...@nicku.org: Dear Folks, Thank you for a great monitoring system. We have nagios monitoring a large number of hosts (1646). We want to be able to display problems of one type: specifically, the service is 'Web Certificates'; I would like to restrict the status display to just these. Please can you suggest a way of doing this? We are using Version 1.2. In Nagios version 2 or 3 you can simply add the service definitions for these to a servicegroup then display the servicegroup status for just that group. I don't know if that was possible in version 1.2! Can I gently suggest it might be a good time for you to think about upgrading? The closest you could get with that version is creating a hostgroup of all hosts that have that service. Nagios-3 has servicegroups that are what you are looking for I believe -- http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/objectdefinitions.html#servicegroup -- Marc -- Stay on top of everything new and different, both inside and around Java (TM) technology - register by April 22, and save $200 on the JavaOne (SM) conference, June 2-5, 2009, San Francisco. 300 plus technical and hands-on sessions.
