[ncc-services-wg] NCC Services WG Chair re-election process

Hello NCC Services WG,

The collective of RIPE working group chairpersons has decided that each RIPE 
working group should have some rules regarding the re-selection of the chairs. 
Kurtis and I have come up with the following, we’ve tried to keep it light 
weight and simple so we can easily change if needed for the next round:

The RIPE NCC Services Working Group will endeavour to keep two Chair persons 
whenever possible. Every two years one of the chairs will offer to stand down 
to allow new candidates to become Chair. The Chair standing down will be 
announced via email to the working group mailing list, prior to next meeting. 
Any community members may volunteer for the available position. 

During the meeting, the working group itself will by consensus establish the 
new or re-elected working group Chair. If for what ever reason consensus can 
not be reached or there are no new volunteers the existing Chair will continue 
their working group duties.

A gentle reminder that the review period for Policy Proposal 2014-06,

to 17 December 2014.

[ncc-services-wg] Consensus on 2014-06 (Publication of Sponsoring LIR for Legacy Internet Resource Holders)

Greetings everyone,

The “last call” phase for policy proposal 2014-16 has now ended.

There were no comments in the last call phase which is fine as it’s not really 
needed - in Last Call “no comments at all” is good enough.

Thus, the chairs hereby declare consensus on 2014-06.

If you disagree with this decision please contact the working group chairs 
(preferably on this public mailing list and otherwise by sending mail to 
ncc-services-wg—cha...@ripe.net. Should that not resolve the problem then you 
can appeal to the WG chairs collective (as per section 4 of ripe-614).

Marco will send the formal announcement from the NCC shortly.

[ncc-services-wg] Call for volunteers to co-chair the RIPE NCC Services Working Group

Dear Colleagues,

This is a call for nominations or volunteers to co-chair the RIPE NCC Services 
working group.

Please DO NOT reply to this message if you wish to volunteer or propose a 
volunteer.

Call for RIPE NCC Services Working Group Chair

In accordance with the chair selection process we announce that the term of one 
of our co-chairs (Rob Evans) will soon expire and we would like to invite 
volunteers, or nominations, for someone to become a co-chair of the RIPE NCC 
Services working group.

Anyone may volunteer, and anyone may be nominated by someone else.

To do this, please send a mail to ncc-services-wg-cha...@ripe.net 
<mailto:ncc-services-wg-cha...@ripe.net> before the end of Tuesday 11th October 
2022.

It would be helpful for candidates to provide some words as to why they think 
they ought to be a co-chair, what new ideas, or improvements they might bring, 
and so on.

We will publish the list of volunteers, along with anything the volunteers 
include with their nomination, to this mailing list on Tuesday 11th October 
2022. Discussion and support (or opposition) for each candidate can then be 
offered on the list.

At the NCC Services working group session at RIPE 85, Kurtis will announce the 
candidate based on the mailing list discussion.
