I am inclined to agree with you, Jonathan. 

Investing in a set of Dalibor's R|Z568Ms would be a more sensible thing to 
do than buy a used tube for an insane amount of money but some people just 
have to have tubes as such no matter the cost.

The seller would be happy though!

The other CD47 just sold for 900€ wich is way over 1000$
 
For 900$ you get 6 beautiful tubes from dalibor... crazy. Even if the CD47 is 
so rare, 1k$ just for a collection piece is madness!! (personal opinion)

We will, no worries ;-) We now have full hands with current tube.. Once our 
team grow up a bit, I will move on other tube models!

I guess this is either something serving for addressing in a multiplexed 
circuit, 

or it is a magnetic switch. I have a CD27 tube with a similar switch that 
operates on a magnet, when you push the magnet the switch will make one step 
(step points take cathodes to ground). I guess that the common drivers could 
not take the high current...
