 try to access anything else.

Yes, it is inclined to throw a segmentation fault at the slightest 
provocation. This release is not viable on 6.10.

odd characters in bug report

Having just submitted a bug report, I see that its title is now

   [ 2553069 ] r6324?crashes?on?loading

where ? represents ff/da

I cut and pasted the title from StrongED, where all spaces are ascii 32.

Would anyone know where the odd characters came from?

There's a bug where spaces in pasted text are converted to hard spaces.

 It works here. Please submit a bug report with log if it's crashing when
 visiting web sites. Your problem sounds different to Tony's which happend
 at startup time.

I've added a couple of logs to my master bug. I can't add a file to 
anyone else's bug report.
