[Nighthawk Lovers] Engine rattle noise - what could it be?

2019-01-16 Thread Holger Selover-Stephan
Hi,

There is this slight engine rattling noise on my '83 Nighthawk 650SC. I
recorded it after a 30 min ride (so the engine was at
temperature): https://photos.app.goo.gl/WpH2bu4Jz4jTRU7R9

Any idea what that could be?

I bought this machine last year and got it running in December. Put 300
miles on it. This is my first-ever motorcycle, loving it!

And yes, I still need to clean and tune the carburetors. But I'm getting
~50 MPG on
it:
http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/honda/cb650sc_nighthawk/1983/shadowbrush/886051

, so I wasn't very motivated to tear into it.

Thanks!

Holger

Re: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: 85 CB 700 S

2019-01-16 Thread Arthur Sheller
Yes I downloaded the one from Paul's page and the wiring diagram. Order
rear turn signal stays and 4 new lenses along with bolts and gaskets. Also
grommets for the side covers. If this bike didn't run so well, handle and
feel so solid I wouldn't be spending so much time and money on it.
