[No Thirst Software] Re: Password protected documents are insecure

2009-06-14 Thread Mike

I see two issues here:

1) false sense of security. I'd assume if I protect the file with a
password the data is secured, which is not the case. So please make it
clear (by a prompt and within the help/faq) that the password does not
encrypt the data.

2) sharing files via the Web - i.e. I might wanna put my file on an
iDisk, which (unfortunately) does not encrypt while syncing but
because of #1 I might assume my data is encrypted and safe, which is
not the case.

[No Thirst Software] Re: Import CSV - number format not working

2009-05-31 Thread Mike

 MoneyWell also uses your
number formats in your System Preferences International panel. Sorry
 for this problem.

No worries, every software has bugs ;)

But I'd prefer being able to override the stuff from the International
panel with a custom format - for various reasons (i.e. using an US OSX
but a German import file or the other way around).

Thanks,
Mike

[No Thirst Software] Re: Import CSV - number format not working

On May 29, 10:18 pm, Kevin Hoctor ke...@nothirst.com wrote:
Please send files that won't import for you directly to ke...@nothirst.com

A sample line would be

29.04.2009;XXX;29.04.2009;-10,70;EUR;

The , is the decimal separator, and there is no thousands-separator
(i.e. 1234,56 instead of 1.234,56 - 1,234.56 in US format).

 Peace,
Amitabha!

[No Thirst Software] Import CSV - number format not working

2009-05-29 Thread Mike

Just wanted to know if others also have the issue that the number
format cannot be changed when importing CSV files?

Best regards,

Michael

[No Thirst Software] Reconciliation Enhancement Suggestion

2008-12-13 Thread mike

I just started using Moneywell, and since it very nicely downloaded
the last six months (or so) of data for my accounts, I've been very
busy reconciling. Everything is very nice, but can I suggest you
somehow enhance it so that we don't have to click all the way on the
left (the checkbox) to reconcile a transaction? Since I'm matching
amounts, my eyes are on the right side, then I have to follow the line
over to the left to find the right checkbox. While it may seem
trivial, the back and forth between the checkbox and amount (and
perhaps my bad aim) slows down the reconciliation process. Perhaps
double-clicking the transaction line (or even just the amount) could
toggle the reconciled status? Or move the checkbox to be right next
to the amount?

Just a thought.

Thanks.
