I've been using MoneyWell for several months now. Until now I have had
an account for the loan that I have, and was doing transfers to it,
without allocating them to a Loan Repayment bucket. This has caused
me to think that I was doing fine spending less that I was getting in,
except I've been having to use the overdraft on my current account,
and the overspend in my buckets hasn't been going down.
This morning I added a new bucket called Loan Repayment, and boom,
my expenditure was above my income by a little more than my income. I
just wish I'd realised this sooner.
Hi Shaun,
MoneyWell needs the buckets to track your cash flow. It's just like
setting up a budget and forgetting to add a category but spending
money on it anyway.
Couple of feature requests:
* When hovering over the graph you get the income and expenditure in a
tooltip. Can you please add the overspend/underspend to that tooltip?
The tooltip information has been improved in 1.4 but I haven't added
this yet. I'll add it to the list for the 2.0 release.
* Would it it be possible to have a line graph showing my balance in
the account over time, thus allowing my to see how much of the month
I'm using the overdraft.
Feedback like this is definitely coming in 2.0. I have lots of
graphing and visuals planned. Thanks.
Peace,
Kevin Hoctor
