--- Comment #6 from Richac coolou...@yahoo.com ---
I had the same exact issue as Mario above me.

I was unable to wake my monitor from suspend, I had set a shutdown -P +120
timer. so I just waited for the pc to shutoff, the pc didn't crash. Cause i
could hear the podcast i was listening to in background, and the hdd light was
blinking at its usual interval and the pc shut off at the time it was supposed
to.

But I got repeatedly a couple dozen times:

nouveau E[ PGRAPH][:01:00.0] TRAP ch 4 [0x003f8b9000 compiz[2567]]
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][:01:00.0] ROP0 0x8000 0x8001
nouveau E[ PGRAPH][:01:00.0] ROP1 0x8000 0x8001

and the log also ended with about 150,000 lines of these two errors repeating:

nouveau E[ PFIFO][:01:00.0] PBDMA0: ch 2 [Xorg[1505]] subc 0 mthd 0x001c
data 0x1004

nouveau E[ PFIFO][:01:00.0] PBDMA0: ACQUIRE

[Nouveau] [Bug 72315] Fedora 19 64-bit X crash

2014-03-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72315

--- Comment #3 from Darin McBride tankta...@gmail.com ---
This looks like the same problem I'm getting with Gentoo, linux-3.13.6, NVIDIA
Corporation GK106 [GeForce GTX 650 Ti].

Except that I've gotten it twice, and both times the display was completely
unusable. I had a blinking cursor at the top left of both of my monitors, and
the KDE-based mouse pointer was still there on one monitor, but wasn't moving.
I could ssh in, but could not restart xdm, thus rebooted. I'm now using the
nvidia binary blob driver, which has different problems, but I'm hoping that a
kernel crash isn't one of them.

Note that I got 304 of these TRAPs in my syslog over the course of about an
hour or so.

nouveau is (was) compiled into my kernel - I don't use many kernel features as
modules.

Your issue is most likely unrelated... See
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72180 for some advice. If it
doesn't apply to you, please open a new bug with the relevant information.

Yes, things seem to work just fine with the one exception being this case.

This was a one-time-ever occurrence and hopefully the last. My thought
was to pass on the information to see if it could be helpful to the
developer.

The card is a NVS 510.

Comment # 1 on bug 72315 from Ilia Mirkin
Do things work well otherwise? Might this card be a NVC1? If so, get
3.11.10+,
3.12.2+ or 3.13-rc1+, there's a commit that fixes semi-random failures in
there
for NVC1.

Take a look at http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Bugs/ for some of the
information that could be useful. At the very least complete logs and what
hardware you have.

Is this issue reproducible in any way, or one-time-ever occurrence?
