[ns] Wimax simulation problem

2009-07-21 Thread Τσιλιγγίρης Γεώργιος

Hi,

I am using the NIST module for wimax simulations. When i send a packet to
or from a subscriber station the packet is split in two parts. Does
anyone no how to
disable this?

George.

Hello

i Hope this mail of mine will find you in best of health. i generate the tcl
script for the following scenarion.

  2 4

   0

  3 1

the above figure is the position of the nodes. all the nodes are in
transmission range of each other. The problems starts as whenever there is
packet exchange(RTS/CTS, Data, ACK) between the nodes, they will hear each
other. supposing we want to calculate the available bandiwdth for node 0 which
is not transmitting.the traffic generated by other nodes act as backgoroud
traffic for it. now we are sending the traffic from 2 to 3. When ever the
packets is exachaged between the nodes mentioned above, node 0 will hear it.
Subsequently it need to get (and save) the value for duration/id field which
will acts as NAV. the question is how can we simultaneously know which node
number packet we are hearing and store the NAV value corresponding to that node
number. also whenver the ack packets are sent from node 3 where can i find its
NAV value.for every sucessful transmission of packets(RTS/CTS, Data, ACK) we
have to store the value of NAV in buffer of node 0. to start with we are just!
considering the data transmission between node 2 and node 3. the situation
become complex as the number of node competing for the traffic increases.
what we require is the following table

Time period Node number/IP address NAV VAlue Transmission(sucess/not)

kindly send in me useful inputs.

[ns] setting the parameters

2009-07-21 Thread neerajgupta

Hi all

i simulating a paper for my work to start with. I need to set the following
parameters for the simulation

MAC Header (bytes) : 34
PHY Header (bytes) : 16
ACK (bytes) : 30

how will following parameters be given.
Anyhow if we dont chage the structure in 802_11.h what is size of the above
parameters.

Hi all;

i need a tcl code of communication between 2 nodes.

Mac/802.11

 tcpSink -

Thank you.

[ns] Question regarading to implementing protocols in ns

2009-07-21 Thread sashtari

Hi everybody

I'm a new user in ns!
I'm looking for implementing some protocols, actually 802.1AB (Link Layer
Discovery Protocol) in Layer 2 and also SIP in application layer in ns-2.
Do you know that these protocols are implemented before and if they are,
would you point me the codes.
