[ns] mac-802_11.cc - op

2010-06-04 Thread Syed Faraz Hasan

Hi NS Users,

I am trying to follow the mac-802_11.cc file in the NS2. I notice -
operators used on several ocassions. Can somebody tell me what - means in C++
(or in the file). For instance,

ap_list-ap_id=num; what does this mean?

There are more examples like:

temp-next-ap_power= power; etc. Any help shall be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Faraz

[ns] Flow monitor graph ns2

2010-06-04 Thread Alexandre Jaron

Hello,

I am a research student at the King's College London. I am building a wired
topology (you'll find the topology attached)
All my traffic starts from the base stations below and ends at the gateway.
So all of my traffic sinks for each connection (traffic) are the gateway.

But I want to create a graphs to monitor the flows or the bandwidth at
router 1 and router 2.Everything I read about making graphs was always the
case where the router which we monitoring is the traffic sink for the
connection.
I don't know Iif I made myself clear, but I really need help.

Thank you very much.

Alexandre Jaron,
MSc student.

[ns] Diff in Xgraph and awk script analyisis

2010-06-04 Thread vaibhav tayal

Sir,

I analyzed a simple topology consisting of 5 nodes using both Xgraph utility
and awk script. But there is a difference both results.
According to the awk script the throughput calculated for udp with cbr
application is 1335.8 and for tcp is 1449.8.
The same was plotted with respect to time using Xgraph.A difference in
result was seen.It would be really kind on your part if you could explain
the difference so analyzed.

Files attached for your reference :

1. grph.png
The Screenshot of the Xgarph. The red lined graph denotes the tcp and
green denotes udp using cbr.
2. exp11.tcl
  Code of the topology analyzed.
3. awk script
 To calculate throughput.
