[ns] WiMax modules existing
http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1190455.1190459 Patrick Please people, I need some help about WiMax simulations in NS2. I have already seen that there are 2 implementations that are commonly used in 802.16 simulations: the NIST's and the NDSL's. But, as I could see installing them, neither NIST nor NDSL have good channel implementation. They just stop in the PHY layer and don't care with the medium. I'd like to know if anybody have already implemented or used any implementation of channel using realistic simulations of propagation, fading, BER and SER, etc. And if there are others implementations beyond the 2 ones that cited. Thk very much -- Pedro Henrique Gomes --
Re: [ns] WiMax modules existing
Hi All, I am also working with both modules and I've read the paper. I also contacted the authors. No reply. Regarding the other issue, I've made the same experience. Just check the IFQ length. There is an conceptual error in the design of the module. All IEEE 802.16 connection queues are basically of unlimited length. Just set the IFQ length to, let say five packets, and you'll see packet drops in your trace file. Could you please send the script to see how you calculated the bandwidth. There are some other issues to be taken into account. Hope that helped, Thomas On Thursday, 3. May 2007 13:43, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1190455.1190459
