Hello Folks John Dally's beautifully paced hornpipes (and their snaps) connect really well for me with this new tune by Pete Cryer which is about two weeks old. This version is a reasonable attempt at it (recorded shortly after I learnt it on Tuesday evening) once again recorded on Jimmy's Baty of Wark set. It's a schottische rather than a hornpipe but for me these tune types are close cousins. The tune had a good reception at the Cleveland Branch of the NPS on Wednesday evening and it might well appeal to some on this list.
